These problems are designed to assist one's understanding of some of the quantitative concepts that appear in the PMP ® Certification Exam questions. In each case, the problem and the problem solution are separate files. You are encouraged to work through the problems and to develop confidence in your own understanding before turning to the solutions.

The problems also provide useful material for group study sessions.

PERT Network Problem Find the total expected duration for a planning network, and the probability of achieving specified completion dates. Excel 6/7 Workbook. Solve the problem manually or use Excel functions.

Instructions:

"Left mouse" click on a link in the table above and the file will open in the associated application, MS Word or MS Excel, in a window in your web browser. If you wish, you can print the document from that window.

Alternatively, you can simply download the file to your computer and open it with the application program in the normal fashion. Do this if you are having trouble opening a file into Word or Excel through your web browser.

Save the file to your machine by doing a "Right Mouse Click" on the link to the file in the table above. This will cause a menu to pop up. If you use Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer as your browser, choose either "Save Link As" or "Save Target As" from the menu and you will be able to save the file to your computer. Once the file is saved, then open the file, using the associated application program, from where you saved it on your machine.
